We have a range of men's teams, from social grades to our recently formed Shoe Clinic 3rd XI, through to our Premier Squad, which includes both the Premier Reserves and Premier Men's sides.

PREMIER MEN

Our Premier Men's side currently plays in the Ewen Chatfield Trophy, Pearce Cup and Premier Men's T20 competition. The Premier Men's squad features a strong mix of young talent, experienced club cricketers, four current Wellington Firebirds, and our very own Black Cap, Tom Blundell. The team is coached by head coach Subhash Choudhary and mentored by coaching adviser Ivan Tissera.

PREMIER RESERVE MEN

Our Premier Reserve Men's side currently competes in Cricket Wellington’s Men's Division 4. The Reserves train alongside the Premier Men as part of the wider Premier Squad. The team is made up of a young group, including university students and recent school leavers. While still developing, they show plenty of promise.

SHOE CLINIC 3RD XI

Our 3rd XI, proudly backed by Shoe Clinic, was newly formed for the 2024/25 season. The side is a developing team made up of promising young players and experienced older heads who offer valuable leadership. The introduction of the 3rd XI reflects the club’s efforts over recent years to build depth and strengthen the pathway to higher levels of cricket.

WILDCATS

The Wildcats play in T20 Division 1 and bring an exciting, hard-hitting style of cricket, backed by a solid bowling unit and occasionally sharp fielding. Despite players heading overseas, strong recruitment (and a few fines) have kept the team competitive in Wellington T20 cricket. Experience outweighs youth, but the will to win remains strong. The Wildcats — it's a way of life.

SILLY NANNIES

Established in 2017, the Nannies began as a group of Western Suburbs under-85 rugby players with a few extras. After a slow start, they found form and won Division 3 in 2019. Following a brief rebuild, they claimed the title again last season. They currently compete in T20 Division 2 and keep things lively with a weekly BBQ and the coveted "Nannie of the Game" award.

CHAOS CLUB

Established in 2020, Chaos formed from a group of misfits keen to play and made an explosive start, scoring 283/5 in their first game. After a few near misses, they won T20 Division 2 last season and now compete in Division 2 again. Known for their rotating batting order, BBQs, tunes, and unofficial Hikoki sponsorship, Chaos brings the energy to Karori cricket.
